So… apparently AI-generated CVs are now so polished, optimized, keyword-stuffed and “passionate about cross-functional collaboration” that recruiters are struggling to tell applicants apart.

Finally, it’s evident what some of us already knew: CVs are overrated. CVs are redundant. And CVs were never a great window into job fit anyway.

A résumé can tell you where someone worked. It can tell you what tools they claim to know. It can even tell you they are “results-driven” for the 847th time today. But it rarely tells you how they will lead, adapt, handle pressure, derail, collaborate, compete, listen, or accidentally turn a weekly meeting into a hostage situation.

That’s where personality data matters more.

Hogan Assessments has been quietly sitting in the corner like: “Interesting. You needed 300 identical AI-generated applications to discover this?”

The future of hiring will not be won by whoever has the prettiest CV. It will be won by organizations that understand the person behind the profile. Skills matter. Experience matters. But personality explains how all of that actually shows up at work.

Maybe the CV is not dead. But it has definitely been demoted.
